Landscape construction services
Earthwork & Drainage
Proper drainage of a landscaped area could make the difference between an easily maintained yard and a yard with problem areas. Farley & Son Landscaping strives to provide remedies to any drainage issues that a yard might encounter. We have backhoes and excavators to easily handle your earthwork needs, such as placing a driveway or digging a foundation hole. Farley & Son Landscaping can also install a septic system at your new or existing house.
Erosion Control
Every year brings new regulations for controlling erosion on construction sites. Our company is certified with the Maine DEP in Erosion Control Practices. This certification was awarded to Farley & Son Landscaping because several of their employees have been trained in the latest Best Management Practices (BMP) and environmental laws to help protect their client's properties and the state's waters from the adverse effects of soil erosion.
We have a competent division of carpenters on our staff who installs custom designed and built fences. We can install wood, vinyl, metal, and chain link fences and have catalogs of different styles to choose from.
Proper watering of plant materials and turf by the use of an irrigation system can reduce the stress of dry seasons and lead to a better looking yard overall. Our crews are well-versed in the design and installation of irrigation systems in varying sizes from the small residential lot to a several acre commercial area.
We work on all sizes of projects. We can install one tree or a whole new landscape with ease. Farley & Son Landscaping can provide you with a landscape design of either a portion of your landscape or a master plan of the entire property.
Whether you want an in-ground or above-ground pool or spa, we can service your needs. For in-ground installations we offer both vinyl and gunite pools. Once your pool is installed, we can help you with choosing and installing a decking material.
Seed & Sod
Whether you are looking for the instant green of a newly sodded lawn or the more economic installation of a seeded lawn, we can help you. We can install the small residential backyard or the large commercial turf expanse. Rototilling, loaming, grading, and seeding or sodding a lawn area can greatly improve the look and feel of your landscape.
Our stone crew can install any of your stonework needs, including stone walls, patios, and steps. We work with native fieldstone, bluestone, granite, cobbles, and concrete pavers.
Water Features
Garden ponds and fountains have become very popular in the past few years. They can add another dimension to your garden area. Not only will a new water feature add a visual aspect, but the sound of running water or of fish jumping in a pond can calm you after a hectic day.
From installing timber retaining walls to a raised garden bed, our carpentry crew can help you redesign your landscaped space.
